Since its humble beginnings in the 1970’s, SETRACO GROUP has grown steadfastly with a benchmark in quality and in people loyalty.

1977

Establishment of the Group’s first company Setraco Nigeria Limited

1978

First project awarded to SNL: the rehabilitation of 87km of roads in Edo State (then Bendel State) of Nigeria.

1982

First major project awarded by the Federal Government of Nigeria to SNL, including the construction of 121 km Road between Mokwa and Bida in Niger State.

1997

Nigeria’s first major bridge awarded by the Federal Government of Nigeria with a total length of 750m, successfully completed by the company 9 months ahead of schedule.

2001

Venturing into the real estate development sector

2004

Major expansion in vessel and equipment amounting to US$100 million

2004

Venturing into the technology and satellite imaging field

2004

Successful and timely completion of Bomadi Bridge (875m long with 40m long spans) and Abuja Keffi Road-a major road leading to Nigeria’s capital- elevates the company to the league of major construction companies.

Number of employees exceeds 20,000

Venturing into the building construction business

3 major World Bank financed road projects are awarded in the northern parts of Nigeria.

2006

Award of a 210km road contract linking two major cities (Warri and Port-Harcourt) through three major States of Nigeria, with a scope of 43 bridges and a contracts value of over US $1.85 billion. It is the biggest road contract awarded by the Federal government to a single contractor.

Celebrating of the Group’s 30 years

Group turnover exceeds $1 Billion

Initiates of the development and construction of a mega mixed-use estate project of 575 ha area in the federal capital of Nigeria.

Venturing into the steel fabrication business
